Our Story
An Original South Dakota Winery
Jim and Nancy Schadé founded Schadé Vineyard, just outside of Volga, near the town of Brookings, South Dakota, in 2000. At the time, Schadé Vineyard was one of only three wineries in the state of South Dakota, setting the standard as an innovator specializing in South Dakota wine and experiences.
The goal has always been to create exceptional wine from South Dakota Fruit— today, owners Dillon and Shelby Ringling remain committed to growing and sourcing the finest local fruits to produce our distinctive wines.
